“The Works” refers to all labour, materials, testing, and services agreed between CE Electrical and the Client.
2. Estimates (Not Quotations)
CE Electrical provides estimates only, based on the information available at the time.
An estimate is not a fixed price and may change if:
- Additional work is required
- Hidden defects or non‑compliant wiring are discovered
- The Client requests changes
- Material prices change
CE Electrical will notify the Client if costs are likely to increase.
3. Minimum Labour Charge & Billing Increments
- All jobs are subject to a minimum charge of two hours labour, regardless of time spent on site.

- The minimum charge applies to call‑outs, small jobs, fault‑finding, inspection/testing, and re‑visits caused by access issues.
4. Call‑Out Fees
- A call‑out fee of £50 applies and covers the first hour on site.
- After the first hour, labour is charged at CE Electrical’s standard hourly rate, subject to the two‑hour minimum and half‑hour increments.
- The call‑out fee applies to emergency attendance, urgent faults, out‑of‑hours visits, and situations where no estimate has been provided.
- Materials and additional labour are charged separately.
5. Extras & Variations
Any work not included in the original estimate is treated as an extra.
Extras are charged at the standard labour rate plus materials.
Authorisation may be verbal or written; allowing work to proceed constitutes acceptance.

- Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, plus recovery costs.
- Special‑order or high‑value materials may require a deposit.
7. Access & Site Conditions
The Client must provide safe, uninterrupted access to the work area.

10. Waste Disposal
CE Electrical removes small packaging and minor waste as part of the service.
Larger waste (old fittings, cabling, rubble, fixtures) may incur an additional disposal charge.
If the Client prefers to dispose of waste themselves, materials will be left neatly bagged or stacked.
11. Existing Installations & Safety
CE Electrical is not responsible for pre‑existing faults, hidden defects, or non‑compliant wiring discovered during the Works.
Work may be paused until remedial action is agreed.

Client‑caused delays may result in additional charges.
15. Cancellation
Domestic clients may have a 14‑day cooling‑off period for distance/off‑premises contracts.
If work begins within this period at the Client’s request, the Client must pay for work completed and materials purchased.
For contracts agreed on the Client’s premises, the cooling‑off period may not apply.

- A Failed Access Charge equal to the two‑hour minimum labour charge will apply.
- If a half‑day or full day was allocated and lost, CE Electrical may charge for the time booked.
